ONGC Recruitment through GATE

ONGC Recruitment through GATE will be eligible to apply for ONGC Recruitment through GATE 2023 only and will be shortlisted on the basis of their GATE score. As a part of the application process of ONGC Recruitment, candidates have to pay an application fee and upload their photograph and signature in the prescribed format and size. Shortlisted candidates are called for written tests on the basis of their GATE scores.

ONGC Recruitment through GATE Notification

Interested candidates can apply for various job posts in ONGC through GATE 2023 by following the simple steps mentioned below. Candidates should ensure that they keep the following documents ready before filling out the application form:

GATE Admit Card – Candidates need to fill in their GATE Registration Number exactly as it is printed on the GATE 2023 Admit Card, so keep it ready before you start filling out the form.
Scanned Photograph and Signature – As a part of the ONGC Recruitment application process, students will also be required to upload scanned images of their photograph and signature in JPG or JPEG format. The file size of both photograph and signature should be less than 70 kb, else the form will not be submitted successfully.

Valid Email Address and Phone Number – Applicants must also mention their valid email ID and phone number as mentioned in the GATE application form.

ONGC Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are interested in applying for the various posts available in ONGC must first ensure that they fulfill the following eligibility criteria for ONGC Recruitment 2023:
• Applicant must be an Indian citizen
• Candidates need to have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in undergraduate engineering programs.
• Candidates who have passed professional examinations like AMIE (Electrical)/ AMIE (Mechanical)/ AMIE (Civil) cannot apply for ONGC Recruitment through GATE 2023.
• Final year candidates of B.Tech or BE can also appear for the exam. If such candidates are shortlisted, their recruitment will be provisional till the submission of all required documents by the last week of July 2023.
• Applicants having bachelor’s degrees through distance learning or part-time mode are permitted to sit for the recruitment process provided their degree is well recognized by the relevant statutory bodies for Central Government posts and services.

ONGC Recruitment Steps to Apply

Step-1 – Registration: The first step to fill the ONGC Recruitment Application Form is to register by entering the GATE Registration Number as mentioned on the GATE Admit Card.

Step-2 – Generating OTP: A One-Time-Password (OTP) will be sent to the registered mobile number and email address, which is required to proceed to the next step of the ONGC Recruitment Application Form.

Step-3 – Filling Application Form: After successfully registering, candidates have to fill online application form by giving personal details, academic details, contact details, and GATE-related information.

Step-4 – Printout of Registration Slip: Once all the information is filled in correctly, candidates can hit the submit button and take a printout of the Registration Slip for further reference.

Step-5 – Payment of Registration Fee: Lastly, applicants can deposit the registration fee in any branch of State Bank of India (SBI) through Challan in favor of ONGC Power Jyoti Account No. 30827318409 of

SBI, Tel Bhavan. Dehradun. After successful payment, candidates are advised to retain a copy of the Bank Challan for later verification by ONGC.

Application Fee: The registration fee for General and OBC categories is Rs 299.90 and there is no fee for SC/ST and PWD.

ONGC Recruitment Selection Process

The shortlisting of candidates for the post of Graduate Trainee will be done on the basis of the GATE 2023 score and then another round of personal interviews.
For the personal interview round, shortlisted candidates need to carry all original documents.
Candidates, who are working in Public Sector Units or Government jobs, need to submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the organization in which they are working.
After qualifying for the Personal Interview round, the applicants will have to fulfill the essential medical parameters as prescribed by ONGC.
The final selection will be done on the basis of a merit list prepared on the basis of merit given below.
