The Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program is now accepting applications for the 2021 term.
Provide quality work experience for youth Responding to national and local priorities to improve access to the labor market for youth facing unique barriers The program provides non-profit organizations, public sector, and employers of private sector organizations with 50 or fewer full-time employees with quality summer work experience for youth between 15 and 30 years of age. Funded employers are not limited to hiring students – all youth between the ages of 15 and 30 can be eligible participants. For CSJ 2020, the department introduced temporary flexibility to respond to the needs of employers and youth in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic. The program will continue to offer this temporary flexibility for 2021 to continue to support employers and youth. The application date is May 15, 2021.
